The Aspen Education Foundation (AEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in public education by raising money for the Aspen School District. Founded by concerned parents in 1991, AEF funds critical programs and projects not financed by the school district budget.

Our donors are parents, community members and local business owners who recognize that state and local funding alone does not provide the level of educational excellence we want for our children.

AEF has raised nearly $2,500,000 for our schools in the past 16 years. The 2005-2006 campaign generated $610,000, approximately $400 per student. In 2006-2007 our goal is to raise $700,000 to underwrite critical programming.
