aef_what_we_believe

  • Well-educated students are essential ingredients in a successful community and directly impact Aspen’s future.
  • Everybody: employees, employers, businesses (start up and established), benefit from a public education system that is solidly supported and producing great citizens.

  • In the absence of private funding, Aspen School District will be forced to cut costs.
  • Mill levy override is exhausted.
...that leaves the work of Aspen Education Foundation.

Private money raised from our community of parents, businesses, community members and foundations will be used to fill this shortfall and:

  • Fund academic excellence
  • Achieve a lower student teacher ratio
  • Retain excellent teachers
  • Inspire exceptional minds
The Principals from Aspen Elementary School, Aspen Middle School, Aspen High School and Aspen Community School and their teachers work in concert to determine the essential needs of their schools.

The District, in consult with the Principals of each school within the district, determines and prioritizes the needs of the entire Aspen School District.
