The Aspen Education Foundation (AEF) is a nonprofit education foundation dedicated to supporting our public schools by raising funds from the community.
AEF is committed to educational excellence for every student in the Aspen School District (ASD). We work in partnership with parents, ASD, local businesses and community members to raise funds for an education beyond what is possible with public dollars because well-educated students are essential ingredients in a successful community.
AEF strives to be a unifying force, bringing together educators, parents, students, and members of the community in supporting our public schools. Consistently well-funded schools prepare generations of graduates to meet the challenges and opportunities of our global society.
It is our intent to:

- Achieve and maintain a low student teacher ratio
- Retain excellent teachers
- Inspire exceptional minds
Partnership – we join forces with parents, the school district, AES PTO, the Aspen Middle School Parents’ Council, the Aspen High School Boosters, principals, teachers, students, businesses and the extended community to make the Aspen public schools the best they can be.
Broad support – we welcome all donations, large and small, and recognize that broad community involvement sends a powerful message of caring about the growth and future of all children in our public schools.
Integrity – fundraising efforts are conducted with honesty and adherence to the highest degree of ethical standards.
