Aspen Education Foundation (AEF) is a nonprofit education foundation dedicated to supporting our public schools by raising funds from the community.

 

Since AEF’s inception in 1991 this community has provided more than $4.6 million to support an extensive number of positions and programs, including but not limited to the following areas:

 

 

Literacy Coach, Reading Specialists, International Baccalaureate Coordinator, College Counselor, Intervention Specialists, Technology Specialists.

 

 

Literacy, Mathematics, Professional Development, ACT/SAT Prep Classes.

 

AEF goes to the community to raise private funds because state funding is insufficient to provide the academic excellence and learning opportunities that we expect for our children.  The money raised through the bond issues that this community so generously supports cannot, by law, be used to fund positions, programming or projects.  The bonds fund the buildings, but not what goes on inside!  Finally, CO is over $1,000 below the national AVERAGE in per pupil funding!  That makes us 40th out of the 50 States!
